Prerequisite: MBA 614

This course deals with the central issues in real estate finance and investment. Students will be introduced to basic topics such as the organization of real estate markets, pricing, inflation, taxation, valuation methods, brokerage, ownership forms, and real estate law. In addition, students will conduct a project feasibility study based on the investment and financing criteria. Students will evaluate a project and calculate the payback period, discounted payback period, net present value, internal rate of return, profitability index and discount rate.
