This course provides the foundations for the management of an organization’s financial resources. It begins with a discussion of the time value of money, theories of interest rates, risk-return relationships and asset pricing in competitive markets, and then introduces the principles of capital budgeting, financing decisions of firms, and financial derivatives. It focuses on two of the major entrepreneurial decision making, initial public offerings and the practical aspects of mergers and acquisitions.
